Hi, my name's Matt. I own a business that for over 20 years has made pop-up instant shelters.

I have several family members who are teachers and I’d been asked if we could print a backdrop a school Christmas Nativity. This started my thought process, and I had the idea of shrinking a pop-up marquee that could be used in the classroom.

I knew that in order for it to be popular it needed to be small, compact and multi-purpose and more important than anything it had to be fun and engaging for children. I started to look around at what was already available on the market and everything seemed either very basic or overly complicated to put together.

As I looked through catalogues and trawled the internet I found theme screens, role play areas, dark tents, puppet theatres but nothing that combined them all in a small compact pop up product.

Now, after lots of development, trials and feedback I am proud to launch the Discovery Dens.  Having primary school teachers in my family it was probably destiny for me to launch a product designed for education. It's certainly been very useful to get some help and advice on the way.

I still have loads of other ideas and look forward to adding additional themes and products into the range soon.
